The Human Camera Stephen Wiltshire

The human mind is one of the most remarkable  things ever, including our endless imagination and memory.

Sometimes we want our memories to last a lifetime, for some we take photos to capture those memories but for Stephen Wiltshire, his mind holds on to those memories in the most finest details with almost accurate precision.

Stephen Wiltshire got his name ‘The Human Camera’ due to his ability to observe cityscapes sometimes for brief moments and recreate these settings in beautiful hand drawings.

What I found remarkable about Stephen is that he was mute until the age of five, drawing for him was his language, a way of expression and he was diagnosed with autism. Also Stephen’s parents are both West Indian born, his mum is St. Lucian and his father is Barbadian.

I am really fond of his ability to create such beautiful masterpieces. See for yourself!
